ROTA FINALLY GETS A SEA-FARING VESSEL FOR ITSELF

Lt. Governor Victor Hocog was open about his familial connection to the vessel.  The vessle is registered to Adelina T. Mendiola, a member of Hocog's wife's family.  Hocog tells us it's not a conflict of interest because it's going to benefit the whole Marianas.

 

PUP TENTS MAY GET A NEW MEANING IF ANIMAL SHELTERS DO NOT MATERIALIZE

Saipan Mayor David Apatang says the office is looking into a temporary shelter location while rebuilding takes place.  It is possible that the animals will be euthanized if they cannot find a home for them soon.  Apatang says they may have to create a makeshift shelter.

 

SECRETARY OF COMMERCE RESPONDS TO HARASSMENT ALLEGATION

In a 3-page Incident Report filed on February 12 this year, an ABTC enforcement officer says Mark Rabauliman order him and 3 other officers to use their per diem to buy beer.  The Secretary says Rabauliman harassed him throughout the night--he calls it humiliating and disturbing.  The Administration says it's an ongoing matter and they will allow the lawful process in place to do its work.
